Clinical Evaluation of Tizanidine HCL (Sirdalud^(®)) in the Treatment of Painful Muscle Spasm of Local Origin

Abstract
|
|
|
We investigated to evaluate the efficacy and tolerance of Sirdalud®.
Thirty cases of patients suffering from painful muscle spasm due to disorders of cervical & lumbar segments of spine.
Results were as follows
1. In 30 cases of patients, male were 13, female were 17 and there was no difference in age distribution.
2. Most of cases were neck and back sprain.
3. Overall efficacy and tolerance were 87% and 89%.
4. Side effect were observed fatigability in 3 cases, drowsiness in 2 cases, facial flusing in 1 case.
From these results, tizanidine HCL(Sirdalud®) has good efficacy and tolerance in the treatment of painful muscle spasm of local origin.
